Out-of-bounds writes in Canon printer firmware 06.02 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute code or crash devices over a network. Address Book attribute-tag processing writes attacker-controlled data beyond an intended buffer, although Canon has not disclosed the responsible function or protocol request. Exploitation requires network reachability but no authentication or user interaction; success permits arbitrary code execution or makes the printer unresponsive.
