Code execution via CPCA file-deletion invalid free
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
Invalid free in Canon printer firmware 06.02 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code or crash devices over the local network. The BJNP service mishandles user-supplied CPCA file-deletion data and releases an invalid pointer, corrupting device memory. No authentication or user interaction is required; the printer must be network-reachable, and exploitation yields device-context code execution or an unresponsive printer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
