Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 20, 2025 · Updated Dec 20, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in E-Da`wah Committee Quran Gateway 1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify display settings. The quran_gateway_options function accepts a settings-changing request without validating a WordPress nonce, so it applies values supplied through a forged administrator request. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request; the documented consequence is limited to changing the plugin's display configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
