Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Truefy Embed 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin settings via a forged request. The truefy_embed_options_update action accepts a settings update, including the API key, without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to submit the attacker-controlled request, such as by following a malicious link; the published impact is limited to settings integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
