Authenticated service interruption via oversized commit content

Resource exhaustion in affected GitLab CE/EE releases allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through crafted Commit API requests. The commit-creation endpoint processes oversized content parameters without limits that prevent attacker-controlled resource consumption. A valid account and API access are required; successful requests exhaust server resources and deny availability without reported data access or modification.
