Incorrect file permissions in Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve before 19.1.3 allow local users to escalate privileges via dylib hijacking. The macOS installer assigns rwxrwxrwx permissions to the application rather than drwxr-xr-x, allowing any local account or application to replace files used during dynamic library loading. A guest or other low-privileged local account must modify the installation; a hijacked library then runs with the launching process's privileges.
