Authenticated command injection via unsafe safe_dir handling
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Command injection in zSpace Q2C NAS 1.1.0210050 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands. The zfilev2_api.OpenSafe handler for POST /v2/file/safe/open incorporates the attacker-controlled safe_dir value into a command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. A low-privileged account is required, and successful exploitation grants command execution with the service's privileges, enabling data access, modification, or service interruption.
