CVE-2025-14098

Code execution via integer-overflowed executable parsing

Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026

Heap out-of-bounds write in Gen Digital Avira Antivirus before 8.3.70.104 allows local users to execute code via a malformed MS-DOS file. The scan engine overflows an integer while parsing the executable, derives an undersized heap buffer, and writes beyond that allocation. Exploitation requires the engine to scan the crafted file and user interaction; successful corruption executes code or crashes the engine process.
