Authenticated schema disclosure via overly broad role check
Published Jan 21, 2026 · Updated Jan 21, 2026
Improper access control in Red Hat build of Keycloak 26.4 allows remote authenticated users to read user-profile schema metadata. The Admin REST API checks only for any administrative role before serving /admin/realms/{realm}/users/profile, so create-client permission satisfies the check and exposes attribute names, validation rules, display metadata, and permission mappings. The account needs only create-client permission; actual user accounts remain inaccessible, and the reported consequence is configuration-metadata disclosure.
