Profile privacy bypass via premature field allowlisting
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Ultimate Member 2.11.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter disabled profile privacy settings. The secure-fields renderer adds field keys to its allowed-fields list before evaluating each field's required_perm restriction. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to submit a disallowed privacy value directly, changing the attacker's own profile visibility despite the administrator's role policy.
