Authenticated cross-group board access via missing authorization
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Missing authorization in Cytech Mobile BuddyTask 1.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access and alter group task boards. The affected AJAX handlers perform board read, create, update, and delete operations without checking the caller's capability or BuddyPress group membership. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to reach private and hidden BuddyPress group boards, exposing their contents and allowing unauthorized task changes or deletion.
