Stored XSS via unescaped imported labels
Published Dec 13, 2025 · Updated Dec 13, 2025
Stored XSS in WebDevStudios Custom Post Type UI 1.18.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts via imported labels. The Get Code renderer inserts an imported post-type or taxonomy label into an h2 heading without HTML escaping, so stored markup becomes executable page content. Administrator access is required to import the crafted label, and the script runs when a user opens Tools → Get Code, enabling browser-context data access or actions.
