Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Stored XSS in Travel Bucket List – Wish To Go 0.5.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. The shortcode renderer inserts user-supplied attribute values into page output without sanitizing the input or escaping the generated markup. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script runs whenever a visitor opens the injected page and can act in that browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
