Stored XSS via unescaped portfolio metadata
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Stored XSS in PressTigers Simple Folio 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through portfolio metadata. The single-simple-folio.php template echoes the _simple_folio_item_client_name and _simple_folio_item_link values into HTML without context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored payload executes in a visitor’s browser when the affected portfolio page is viewed.
