CVE-2025-14027Network attack vector

Remote service interruption via unreleased firmware memory

Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026

Denial of service in all versions of Rockwell Automation ControlLogix Redundancy Enhanced Module allows remote attackers to interrupt the module. The firmware mishandles crafted inputs, including malformed Class 3 messages, by failing to release memory and exhausting module resources. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient; the module can become unresponsive or enter a major nonrecoverable fault requiring a restart, while the controller continues operating.
