Keycloak credential disclosure via unmasked module arguments
Published Dec 4, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2026
Information disclosure in Ansible Community General Collection allows local users to read Keycloak passwords from verbose output. The keycloak_user argument specification omits no_log protection from credentials[].value, so Ansible serializes that nested password in invocation details. Exposure requires a Keycloak user task run with verbose logging and access to its output; disclosed credentials can enable Keycloak account access.
