Stored XSS via executable callback shortcode attribute
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Stored XSS in Nazmul Sabuz WP Dropzone 1.1.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through callback. The shortcode handler places the user-controlled callback attribute into inline configuration, and client-side code compiles it with new Function() without sanitization or escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient; the script runs when a user opens the affected post or page, permitting actions in that user's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
