Stored XSS via unescaped latestdive attributes
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Stored XSS in klemmkeil Divelogs Widget 1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through latestdive attributes. The latestdive shortcode accepts user-supplied attributes without adequate sanitization and emits them into page output without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the injected script runs in the browser of anyone who opens the affected page, enabling actions or data access within that user's WordPress session.
