Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Stored XSS in GPXpress 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through gpxpress shortcode attributes. The gpxpress shortcode handler renders user-controlled attributes without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the stored JavaScript executes in visitors' browsers whenever an affected page is viewed.
