CVE-2025-1394

Device crash via unchecked buffer-management error status

Published Jul 30, 2025 · Updated Mar 6, 2026

Denial of service in Silicon Labs Zigbee EmberZNet through GSDK 4.4.4 and SiSDK 2024.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to crash devices. The packet buffer manager fails to handle an error status, allowing an index beyond the buffer's stated length to reach legacy-packet-buffer.c and trigger an assert. Exploitation requires low-privileged adjacent access to the Zigbee network and the Packet Handoff component enabled; the bounded consequence is a device crash.
