CVE-2025-13916Network attack vector

Unauthenticated data decryption via 1024-bit certificates

Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026

Weak cryptography in IBM Aspera Shares 1.9.9 through 1.11.0 allows remote attackers to decrypt highly sensitive information. The product generates 1024-bit certificates, providing less cryptographic strength than expected for protected communications. Network access requires no authentication, but successful decryption has high attack complexity and affects confidentiality only.
