CVE-2025-13912

Cryptographic data disclosure via optimized constant-time masks

Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025

Observable discrepancy in wolfSSL before 5.8.4 allows local users to disclose cryptographic data through timing side channels. LLVM can optimize masking variables in TLS, AES, DH, ECC, RSA, and other cryptographic routines into data-dependent code; the patch marks those intermediates volatile. Exploitation requires local high-privileged access, passive interaction, and conditions that expose repeatable timing differences in an affected LLVM-built binary.
