Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Stored XSS in lesion WPGancio 1.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through gancio-event attributes. The gancio-event shortcode handler places user-supplied attributes into generated event markup without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access permits payload storage, and the script runs in the browser of any user who opens the injected page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
