Service interruption via unreleased communication channels
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Denial of service in Schneider Electric Modicon M262 before 5.4.10.12 allows remote attackers to occupy Machine Expert channels. The protocol handler fails to release active communication channels after processing malicious payloads, exhausting the available channel pool. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation partially interrupts controller communications without altering data or code.
