Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode id attribute
Published Dec 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in wpdiscover Social Feed Gallery Portfolio 1.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via shortcode content. The igp-wp shortcode handler reads the id attribute without sufficient sanitization and inserts it into generated page markup without output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script executes whenever a user visits the injected page, allowing actions in that page's browser context.
