Privileged code execution via unrestricted library path
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025
Code injection in affected ClickHouse releases allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code on the database server. The library-bridge HTTP handlers accept a library_path parameter and load the referenced shared library without verifying that its canonical path falls under configured read-only library directories. Exploitation requires the library bridge to be enabled and an account with access to both table engines, including a path that permits an uploaded library to reach a loadable directory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
