CVE-2025-1382Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via forged administrator settings request

Published Mar 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2026

Stored cross-site scripting in the affected WordPress plugin through 2.6 allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a forged settings request. The administrative settings handler accepts a POSTed msg_err value without nonce validation, sanitization, or output escaping and stores it for later rendering. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML; the stored script then executes when affected plugin output is viewed.
