Authenticated information disclosure via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
Missing authorization in GamiPress 7.6.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disclose user emails and private-post titles. The gamipress_ajax_get_posts and gamipress_ajax_get_users AJAX handlers return query results without checking the caller's capabilities. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to enumerate WordPress users, including email addresses, and read titles of posts otherwise marked private.
