Unauthenticated file read via unsanitized pictureId
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
Path traversal in jsnjfz WebStack-Guns 1.0 allows remote attackers to read server-accessible files via a crafted pictureId. The public /kaptcha/{pictureId} route passes the path variable to renderPicture, which concatenates it with the upload directory without validation or canonicalization before FileUtil reads and streams the resolved file. No authentication or user interaction is required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the application service account.
