Arbitrary file overwrite via unchecked ZIP paths
Published Nov 30, 2025 · Updated Nov 30, 2025
Path traversal in Scada-LTS 2.7.8.0 and 2.7.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to write files via a crafted project ZIP. ZIPProjectManager.restoreFiles joins each untrusted entry name to Common.getHomeDir, while validation accepts traversal segments before writing the file. Administrator access is required; exploitation overwrites files beneath the application home, enabling persistent interface modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
