Authentication bypass via replayed session material
Published Mar 13, 2026 · Updated Mar 13, 2026
Authentication bypass in ABB AWIN GW100 rev.2 2.0-0 and 2.0-1 and AWIN GW120 1.2-0 and 1.2-1 allows remote attackers to take control. The embedded webserver accepts replayed authentication material instead of validating session freshness, enabling unauthenticated queries and authenticated actions. Exploitation requires adjacent network access to a gateway; successful access exposes configuration and permits device control, including rebooting it.
