Stored XSS via shortcode regex bypass
Published Dec 12, 2025 · Updated Dec 12, 2025
Stored XSS in ice00 NewStatPress 1.4.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcode attributes. The nsp_shortcode function applies an incomplete regular-expression filter to user-supplied attributes and emits surviving markup without sufficient output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload in a page; the script executes in each visitor's browser when the page opens.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
