CVE-2025-13714

User-assisted root code execution via model deserialization

Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025

Deserialization in Tencent MedicalNet allows remote attackers to execute code as root through a malicious pretrained-model file. The generate_model function passes pretrain_path to torch.load without weights-only restrictions, allowing pickle payloads to instantiate attacker-controlled objects during loading. Execution requires a target to open or visit attacker-controlled content that supplies a crafted model file, and the payload runs with the invoking process's privileges.
