CVE-2025-13706

Code execution via unvalidated checkpoint deserialization

Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025

Unsafe deserialization in Tencent PatrickStar 0.4.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a malicious checkpoint file. The merge_checkpoint endpoint accepts user-supplied checkpoint data without validating it before deserialization. Exploitation requires a target to open the file or visit a malicious page, after which attacker-controlled code runs with root privileges.
