CVE-2025-13699Hinoki check available

Code execution via unencoded dump output paths

Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025

Path traversal in mariadb-dump in MariaDB Server 11.8.3 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted database object names. With --tab output, mariadb-dump converts attacker-controlled view or table names directly into output paths without the server's filename encoding, allowing separators or reserved names to redirect file creation. Exploitation requires a user to run mariadb-dump against attacker-influenced schema content, and resulting code runs with that user's privileges.
