Unauthenticated restriction bypass via spoofed proxy header
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
IP address spoofing in AA Extensions AA Block country 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to bypass country-based access restrictions. In aablockcountry.php, the IP-detection logic accepts HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR as the visitor address without validating that it came through a trusted proxy. Exploitation requires active country blocking and a request path governed by the plugin, after which restricted site content becomes reachable.
