Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in ARK Related Posts 2.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin settings through an administrator's browser. The ark_rp_options_page function accepts configuration changes without validating a WordPress nonce, so a forged request inherits the administrator's active session. Exploitation requires an administrator to open attacker-controlled content, and the documented consequence is limited to plugin configuration changes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
