Stored XSS via unescaped admin settings
Published Dec 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in phegman's Trail Manager 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through admin settings. The settings path stores administrator-controlled input without sufficient sanitization and later renders it without output escaping, so browsers treat the saved value as executable page content. Exploitation requires administrator-level access and is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; injected scripts run whenever a user opens an affected page.
