Authenticated database disclosure via unvalidated orderby value
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
SQL injection in Codeboxr CBX Bookmark & Favorite for WordPress 2.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The cbxbookmark_post_html function inserts the user-controlled orderby value directly into SQL ORDER BY clauses without allowlist validation. Subscriber-level access to the WordPress AJAX bookmark-listing action is sufficient to run crafted queries and extract information available to the site database account.
