Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via unchecked path
Published Dec 3, 2025 · Updated Dec 3, 2025
Path traversal in WPChill Modula Image Gallery 2.13.1 through 2.13.2 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The ajax_unzip_file function fails to restrict an attacker-controlled file path to the intended upload directory before deletion. Author-level WordPress access is required, and deletion of a critical file such as wp-config.php can interrupt the site and enable code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
