Authentication bypass in Google Chrome before 143.0.7499.41 on Windows allows local users to bypass Mark of the Web via crafted HTML. Google identifies the Downloads component, but the restricted Chromium issue leaves the exact operation that omits or defeats the mark undisclosed. The attack requires local access and user interaction with crafted HTML, after which downloaded content lacks the Windows origin mark used by security checks.
