Authenticated database modification via unsanitized password confirmation
Published Nov 24, 2025 · Updated Nov 24, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Student Clearance System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database data. The /Admin/changepassword.php handler places txtconfirm_password directly into an SQL UPDATE statement without sanitization or parameter binding, enabling time-based blind injection through a crafted POST request. Administrator authorization is required, and the demonstrated payload delays the response with SLEEP while the new-password and confirmation values match.
