Authenticated code execution via unchecked image upload
Published Nov 23, 2025 · Updated Nov 23, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Projectworlds Advanced Library Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The add_book.php handler uses the image field's $_FILES data to select a storage path without validating the extension, MIME type, content, or filename. A valid PHP session is required; an uploaded script placed under the web root can run commands with the web server's privileges.
