Unauthenticated code execution via unfiltered picture upload
Published Feb 16, 2025 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in needyamin Library Card System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute server-side code through signup.php. The Add Picture and Signature handler passes attacker-supplied filenames directly to move_uploaded_file without validating extensions or content, placing PHP files in the web-accessible images directory. No authentication or filter bypass is required, and a successful upload grants code execution under the web server account.
