Code execution via unchecked submit-url copy
Published Nov 23, 2025 · Updated Nov 24, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-822K 1.00_20250513164613 and DWR-M920 1.1.50 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The formFirewallAdv handlers sub_41EA94 and sub_424054 copy the submit-url request value into fixed stack buffers with strcpy and no length check. Access to the router management interface and a valid session are required; an oversized value overwrites adjacent stack memory, enabling a web-server crash or code execution on the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
