Reduced password-cracking cost via weak hash selection

Weak password hashing in Fortra Core Privileged Access Manager Server Agent 9.0 allows local users to reduce password-cracking effort. In a yescrypt-capable agent operating in an 8.1 domain, an insecure default selects a weaker password-hash algorithm; Fortra does not identify the configuration locus or selected algorithm. Exposure requires that specific Linux agent and domain combination, and the consequence is limited to easier recovery of passwords from hashes obtained separately.
