Authentication bypass in Lenovo ThinkPlus FU100, FU200, TSD303, and TU800 Gen 1 devices allows local users to enroll an untrusted fingerprint. The ThinkPlus configuration software accepts fingerprint enrollment without successfully enforcing device authentication; Lenovo has not disclosed the responsible function or validation error. Exploitation requires an authenticated local session and access to an affected device, which then treats the enrolled fingerprint as trusted authentication material.
