CVE-2025-13433

Local privilege escalation via unquoted updater path

Published Nov 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Unquoted service path handling in Muse Group MuseHub 2.1.0.1567 allows local users to execute code when the Windows updater service starts. The service ImagePath omits quotes around a path containing spaces, so Windows searches intermediate path segments such as C:\Program for an executable. A low-privileged local user must be able to write a searched segment and trigger a service start or restart; if the service runs as SYSTEM, exploitation grants SYSTEM-level code execution.
