CVE-2025-13425Public exploit

Application crash via empty-directory iterator confusion

Published Nov 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Denial of service in Google OSV-SCALIBR before 0.3.4 allows local users to crash a scanning process with an empty virtual directory. The fallback DirIterator.Next path mistakes a nil file slice for an available directory reader and continues instead of returning EOF for the empty directory. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and a custom embedded-filesystem plugin that traverses attacker-supplied content; only availability is affected.
