Stored script execution via incomplete SVG filtering
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in EasyImages2.0 2.8.0 through 2.8.6 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via SVG uploads. The SVG handler in /app/upload.php reads the uploaded file and rejects only script elements or href attributes, leaving event-handler attributes unchecked. Exploitation requires upload access and a victim to open the stored SVG URL, which executes attacker-controlled script in the victim's browser.
